“Fulfil our common dream”
Pawel Stasiaczek began riding off-road as an amateur at the age of 33. Four years ago, Pawel, along with his close friends Michal Henrik and Norbert Madetko, began planning their 2015 Dakar participation by entering the 2013 Morocco Rally and the 2014 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. Then, during the 2015 Dakar, tragedy struck, with Michal dying of heat exhaustion on the third stage. Pawel withdrew from the race. He planned to return in 2016 but injured himself during a rally in Morocco, forcing him to cancel that entry. Now, two years after his first Dakar, Pawel is going back in 2017 with the intention of making the dream he shared with Michal and Norbert come true.
“I am taking part in the Dakar Rally as a member of the Polish Duust team and am really happy that my wife Monika and my friend Norbert will be there with me to support me. My ambition is to complete the Dakar and fulfil our common dream of reaching the finish line which would be a very joyful and emotional experience for us and our families.”
